01
Western University wanted short videos to teach core concepts from its Life Design framework. The videos had to hold the attention of students fresh out of high school. They also had to work as bite-size clips for social media.
02
We kept each video to about a minute, with simple, striking visuals and an energetic voiceover. This one explains prototyping. A torn flag on a mountaintop shows a goal that turned out wrong. Then the story shows a smarter way to test a career first.
the story in eight stops
The script moves from a wrong turn to a smarter way to choose. Here is the path it takes, panel by panel.

sketch first, then animate
We storyboarded the script panel by panel before any motion work began. Each panel paired a line of narration with a clear action. Pick a panel to compare the sketch with the finished frame.

"In life design, prototypes are short experiences or conversations that allow you to test a career decision."
A worker in a safety helmet talks with a second person.
the final artwork
Every frame was designed to feel fresh and relevant to new students. Here is a closer look at the finished artwork.
