Energy, Oil & Gas Video Production

Showing Energy Operations That Can't Be Filmed

Energy video production turns extraction, processing and infrastructure into video that regulators, investors, crews and communities can follow. We make 3D technical animation, safety training and investor content for oil and gas, mining, renewables and utilities. Mammothic Films is a Vancouver-based animation and video production studio. We work with energy companies across Canada and the United States.

Energy Videos & 3D Animation With Clear Outcomes

Energy operations are complex, hazardous and mostly out of sight. Video helps an investor understand a project. It helps a crew learn a procedure. It shows a community what will happen on the ground.

We make process animation, safety training, investor content and ESG video for oil and gas, mining, renewables and utilities. Each project is written for the people watching it, whether that’s a regulator, a field crew or a shareholder.

Video Production for Energy Drives Tangible Results

Show What Can’t Be Filmed: 3D animation rebuilds wells, pipelines, refineries and underground workings from engineering data.

Train Field Crews: Give crews a consistent, repeatable way to learn a procedure or safety rule.

Inform Investors: A clear video helps shareholders and analysts understand a project, a deposit or a plan.

Build Community Trust: Show communities and regulators what a project involves before work starts.

Our Energy Video Production & Animation Services

We have produced energy and industrial work for organizations of very different sizes. The formats vary, but the constraints are the same. The content has to be technically accurate. It has to survive engineering and legal review. And it has to make sense to someone who has never been on site. Our energy video work covers:

  • 3D process animation of extraction, refining and processing
  • Safety and training videos for field crews and contractors
  • Investor relations and ESG videos
  • Equipment and infrastructure walkthroughs
  • Project and community information videos

3D Technical Animation

Wells, pipelines, refineries and mine workings can’t be filmed directly. 3D animation rebuilds them from engineering data so viewers can see:

  • Subsurface geology and reservoirs.
  • Drilling, extraction and processing steps.
  • How equipment and infrastructure work.
  • Project stages from construction to closure.

Safety & Training Videos

We create safety and training videos that give every crew the same message, every time. Common uses include:

  • Site orientation for new workers and contractors.
  • Hazard awareness and safe work procedures.
  • Equipment operation and maintenance steps.
  • Compliance and regulatory training.

Investor & ESG Videos

Investor and ESG videos explain a project, a deposit or an operation to the people who make funding and approval decisions.

They help shareholders, analysts and communities understand what you’re building, how you manage risk, and what the project means for the region.

Our Video Production Process

Strategy

We start by getting clear on your goals, your audience, and what you want the video to accomplish. Then we develop the concept and creative direction that becomes the foundation for the script and the rest of the production.

Script

Our writers get to work, developing a script that matches your intent and speaks to your audience. The right words, emotional triggers, and story structure all play a key role in the success of your message. If the story sucks, animation won’t save it.

Storyboard

Next, we sketch out the video scene by scene. The storyboard lets you see how the story will come together, where key moments land, and how the visuals support the script. Once refined and approved, we move to production.

Design

We design every character, graphic, and prop from scratch, then prepare the artwork for animation. An animatic is prepared to show our ideas on the planned timing and pacing of the different scenes.

Animation

With the visuals approved, we move into animation and sound design. Voiceover, music, and sound effects are added to complete the piece, followed by final revisions to make sure everything looks and sounds right.

Launch

With the final video approved, we prepare everything for delivery. You get the final video file plus 10–15 cutdowns and supporting assets designed to help you get more mileage from the video across different channels.

An energy video project can include 3D technical animation of extraction and processing, safety and compliance content, investor and ESG video, and equipment walkthroughs. We work with your engineers and operations team so the technical detail is right.

We deliver in the formats you need for your website, investor relations, training and stakeholder presentations. You keep the source files.

A simple animation can take as little as two days. A more complex project can take two weeks to two months or more. Scope is the biggest factor, along with how much specialist input the technical content needs.

Engineering and legal review can add time. We plan those review windows at kickoff so they don’t hold up the schedule later.

Energy animation pricing depends on the style, length and technical complexity of the subject, along with any engineering or compliance review your project needs. We quote each project individually rather than working from a flat rate.

See our general pricing guide for a sense of range, then request a quote for an accurate number.

Yes. Scriptwriting is part of every project. We also give you access to a range of voiceover artists and royalty-free music, plus full sound design.

Yes. Our designers work with your brand team so the animation fits your existing look. If you don’t have guidelines, the design phase sets a consistent style you can reuse across future videos.

Send us your project goals, audience, key messages and any brand assets or references you like. We’ll set up a short discovery call to understand the project and the technical review it needs.

From there, we prepare a proposal with scope, pricing and timeline. Once it’s approved, production starts with the script, and you review each stage before we move on.
